Scenes from "Safety Last"

At the train station, Harold leaves to seek his fortune in the city.

The landlady wants her back rent. (That's Harold and Limpy Bill under the coats.)

Harold's late for work, so he uses the ambulance for some fast transportation.

Harold tells Limpy Bill to push the cop, and he'll straighten it out.

Uh-oh! Mildred has caught Harold working as a clerk. Is a 'General Manager' supposed to do that?

"Will you give me a thousand dollars, sir, if - if - I can draw hundreds of people to our store?"

Harold tries to 'ditch' the cop so Limpy Bill can begin his climb.

A board unexpectedly extends from a window - one of many hazards Harold encounters on his climb upward.
