"Silent Star:
Colleen Moore Talks About Her Hollywood"
by Colleen Moore (Doubleday & Co., Inc., 1968,
262 pages)
Pleasant memoirs of Colleen Moore's rise to stardom,
years in the movie business and life after the movies. Not a "tell
all" book, but, instead, fond reminiscing about the silent
era. Much of the book is spent talking about her sometimes happy,
many times troubled marriage to producer John McCormick, and a
lengthy portion is devoted to her famous doll house. Well worth
reading, but, unfortunately, this book is out of print.
